Day 3
Madrid to Granada
Head south taking in the beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains on the way. Arrive in the historic and cultural hub of Grenada.

Tonight, learn why Granada’s got such a reputation for amazing food. Try their fresh seafood, eat some more tapas (perfect for trying a bit of everything) and for dessert, the speciality Arab pastries are just right!

Day 4
Granada
Start the day with an optional excursion through the old Muslim quarter of Albaicin. Walk past historic mansions with walled gardens and find cute little tea and cake shops on the cobbled streets. Our Local Guide will show the group through La Cartuja Monastery and the Capilla Real where you’ll see the tombs of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella – heads of the fallen Spanish empire.

Next up: the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site of Alhambra.

We’ve got a specialist Alhambra guide who will bring the magic of this former home of the sultans to life. Take a walk through the complex of fortifications, sumptuous palaces and gardens.

Day 5
Granada to Fez
Across the Strait of Gibraltar to the continent of Africa, past the Rif Mountains to the medieval capital of Morocco, Fez. Prepare to be amazed by the best preserved old city in the Arab world, the Medina. Soak it all up, as you discover this colourful city and take in all the vibrant sights, sounds and smells it has to offer.

Day 6
Fez
Today is all about exploring. Go local with an action packed day of sightseeing; visit the Royal Palace, soak in the spectacular views of one of the oldest cities in Morocco dating back to the 9th Century, tour the walls of the Medina of Fez, do a bit of shopping at the Cooperative of Handmade Carpets or check out the Wooden Galerie (Foundouk Nijarrine) for some beautiful 18th century architecture.

Day 7

See more of the fascinating country of Morocco as we head southwards to Marrakech. On the way you'll pass through the green oasis of Ifrane, a cool gem within the heat of Africa, and experience the breath-taking sight of the famous Atlas Mountains.

Day 8
Marrakech
Throw yourself head first into the vibrant city of Marrakech. Soak up the history and tradition of the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and un-missable Jamaa el Fna Square. With a free afternoon, you could wander through the historic city, hit the world famous souks to stock up on some bargains or in the evening join the optional dinner complete with horse and carriage ride, through town and a belly dancing extravaganza.

Day 9

Tangier to Seville
Say goodbye to Africa, stop off at the island of Gibraltar enroute to the Andalucian capital, Seville. Explore this passionate city known for its heritage of art and culture, visit the famous attractions, enjoy the 13th Century architecture and the world's biggest cathedral. Home of flamenco, enjoy a night of dance with the fun loving, laid back locals. Surely a night to remember!
