Not only is this city that is a part of the historic past of the United States , it is also a booming metropolitan city with a large selection of things to do. Even though you may find yourself surrounded by skyscrapers and expressways, you will also be surrounded by the colonial and New England feel. Boston is located in Massachusetts and is the capital city of the state. Boston is the most active and populated areas of the state. Whether you have a week or just a day or two, taking the time to visit Boston is worth every minute.

Boston Commons
Located in the Beacon Hill section - Take the Red Line or Green Line to Park Street Boston Commons is located in the heart of Boston and the oldest park that was founded in America . The park is filled with trails, the frog pond, which is great for the kids. There are swan boat ride trips you can take. You will be able to see historic statues and fountains located throughout the park.
USS Constitution
She fought in over forty battles and never lost a single one. The Old Ironside is a perfect example of some the history that is located in Boston . You can walk around in the ship and have a wonderful time with the kids here. Next door is the USS Constitution Museum with hand on exhibits and just more of the ships history.
Duck Boat Tours
This company will give you new outlook on Boston . If you have the time, this is a must do tour. The tour is an amphibious landing vehicle. You visit different parts of Boston , mostly historic and then you and the vehicle take a tour in the Charles River . This is an interesting way to see Boston , from the streets and the shoreline. They have discounts for seniors, students, military, and children.
Fenway Park
Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox, the 2004 World Series Champs. Even if you aren't a baseball fan, you will love this tour. You get to walk out to the field and view all parts of the part. The tours run every day except when there is an evening game, you can sign up to take a tour of the park. The tours start at 10am and another one at 11am.
Paul Revere House
We should all know who Paul Revere was. In 1775, Paul Revere rode through the streets warning everyone that the British troops were coming. He played an important role in our American history. You can tour around his home and learn more about him and his life as a silversmith. When using the trains, you take the Green or Orange T , and exit in Haymarket.
Children's Museum
If you are traveling in Boston as a family and you need a break from the city, then stop in at the Children's Museum. They have interactive and theme exhibits that can change with the seasons. The museum is more geared for children up to about ten years old. The museum is opened daily, Sunday to Thursday from 10am to 5pm and Friday's hours are 10am to 9pm .
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
The marketplace is connected to Quincy Market. It is placed among cobblestoned roads and gives you the old main street feel. There are over 100 places to eat alone in the Faneuil Hall. There are shops, and pubs to there also. This is just a nice section to get some shopping done, see some of Boston and grab a meal. The Green and Blue T lines go to Government Street .
Beantown Trolley
Beantown is another name for Boston . The tour is done on an old trolley and brings you around in about two hours. If you have more time to spend, then take the tour that makes stops. You can stop to eat or shop. This is located in the Theater district and is open daily from 9am to 4pm
New England Aquarium
This aquarium opened in 1969 and has been entertaining the locals and visitors ever since. Inside you find a large tank known as the Giant Ocean Tank filled with fish, correl, sharks and many more ocean dwelling creatures. There are interactive sections in the aquarium. Over all this is just a nice place to visit.
Museum of Science
The Museum of Science is easy to access if you take the T line to Science Park . The exhibits change on a regular basis, and there are some interactive exhibits also. You have a wonderful water view from here and you can take a guided tour or just walk around yourself. There is an IMAX theater too. There is a gift shop and a few places to choose from for lunch. This museum is fun for all ages.
